Accessibility

Our commitment

Resumiz should be usable by everyone, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or other assistive technologies. We design and build the site with that goal in mind, and we treat any barrier you run into as a bug to fix, not a low priority.

The standard we aim for

We build the resumiz.com website and app toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, Level AA. WCAG is the internationally recognized standard for making web content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people with a wide range of abilities.

Where we stand

The site is built as a single-column layout with real, selectable text rather than images of text, a consistent heading structure, and labelled form fields. At the time of writing, it scores 100 on the automated accessibility audit in Google Lighthouse.

An automated score is a useful signal, not a full guarantee. Tools like Lighthouse catch a meaningful share of issues, but they cannot replace testing with real assistive technologies, which we have not yet completed end to end. So we do not claim that every page fully conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We would rather state that plainly than overstate it, and we keep improving the site as we find and fix issues.

The resumes you create

The resumes Resumiz produces are real, selectable text in a single column, not scanned images or multi-column tables. That keeps them readable by applicant tracking systems and by screen readers alike, in both the PDF and Word downloads.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of Resumiz is hard or impossible to use with your assistive technology, we want to hear about it. Email support@resumiz.com and, where you can, include:

  • The page or feature where you hit the barrier
  • What you were trying to do
  • The assistive technology, browser, and device you were using

We read every report, aim to respond within a few business days, and will work with you to find a fix or a usable alternative in the meantime.

Scope

This statement covers resumiz.com and the Resumiz web app. It does not cover third-party websites we link to, such as our payment provider, which maintain their own accessibility practices.
